HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
An Interior Refinement™ generally takes 2-3 hours per room.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A SESSION?
No preparation is necessary. Just make sure all the furniture, art and accessories that might be used are unpacked and accessible.

DO I LEAVE MY HOME DURING A SESSION?
No. The idea is to work together on a better solution. The session is fun and informative. You will learn about the most common decorating problems and how to overcome them so that you can avoid them in the future.

WHY PAY TO HAVE SOMEONE MOVE MY THINGS AROUND?
Have you rearranged your possessions only to still be unhappy? Don't feel bad. Without knowing the most common decorating problems and their solutions, it is difficult to make real improvements. I can analyze your rooms using the principles of interior refining and together we can make changes that matter. You receive professional advice about all your decorating questions.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE MUCH TO WORK WITH?
Don't worry. In your case, the session will be more focused on planning for the future than refining what you have. I can make recommendations for purchases that will create timeless, comfortable rooms that meet your needs.

WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING?
I am a certified interior refiner trained by Lauri Ward, who founded the Interior Refiners Network. I also continue my education through on-line coursework and attending seminars.
Ms. Ward is the author of several books including Use What You Have Decorating, Home Therapy, and Downsizing Your Home with Style. She has appeared on television programs including The Oprah Winfrey Show, CBS Evening News, and Lifetime. She has been featured in print media such as The New York Times and House Beautiful.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan, a Master's Degree in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University, and 23 years of progressively responsible experience in the federal government.
